WHO ARE WE ?

My name is Andrew Holmans. I am an independent Chartered Building Surveyor who specialises in residential properties. I trade in the name of AJH & associates.

WHERE ARE WE ?

I am based in Heathfield in East Sussex, and cover the South East and East Sussex areas - Bexhill on Sea, Brighton, Crowborough, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Hastings, Heathfield, Rye, Sevenoaks, St Leonards on Sea, Tenterden, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Uckfield and Wadhurst. And obviously all the small towns and villages inbetween.

OUR STANDARDS

My wife and I believe in providing a good professional service which includes, being contactable, being approachable, providing 'plain English' readable reports, and being very competitive price wise.

All survey work is undertaken by myself,  the principal surveyor.  I am a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 35 years practical experience.

No survey work is ever outsourced.

No more than one survey is booked on each day, to ensure that the proper amount of care and attention can be taken in both the survey itself and in producing each report. There are exceptions to this rule, for example during periods of heavy snow, in which a survey cannot be undertaken, to clear any backlog.

WE CAN OFFER

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

We are able to offer an unusual service that is not offered by many surveyors – that is to meet with the sureyor at the property at the end of the survey to discuss the survey findings, and allowing time for any property related questions such as proposed alterations eg wall removal, adding a conservatory or extending into the loft. This is all included in our service at no extra cost. The meeting is subject to the vendors (sellers) prior approval.

 PURCHASING A HOUSE AT AUCTION ?

I can attend with you and walk round the property on the open house day and advise on suitability for purchase. Please call me direct for this service.

PARTY WALL MATTERS

I am a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club  - known as the P&T club, which is a leading Party Wall surveyors club.

RICS and ISVA

I am a fully qualified member of the RICS - The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and also a member of the ISVA which is the Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association. We comply with the professional standards of both.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Many of our reports contain photographs for ease of reference. We are not VAT registered therefore do not charge VAT, keeping the price low.
